Should I Get uPVC Or Aluminium Windows?
It depends on the requirements of your project. Both are excellent choices and have comparable levels of energy efficiency, security, and customisation. The difference is that aluminium windows have longer lifespans and tend to be more expensive, whereas uPVC has a shorter lifespan but is more affordable. If you’re not sure, we can discuss your options in-depth and help you make a decision.
Do New Windows Require Planning Permission?
Only in rare examples. Installing new windows is considered to be a permitted development and doesn’t require permission, but if you live in a listed building or conservation area we’d recommend checking first. Nine times out of ten though it’s not necessary.
Can I Get Dual Colour Windows?
Absolutely, if you’re looking for replacement windows that have different colours on the inside and outside, feel free to ask.
How Long Does A Window Fitting Take?
It depends on the nature of the project, but we can usually fit a new window in a matter of hours. Unless you’re having multiple windows fitted in one go, we rarely need more than a day.
